This rapier reflects his vision, crafted to align with the principles laid out in his fencing system. Designed directly from the illustrations in Meyer’s work, this rapier features a wide diamond-section blade complemented by a distinctive Schilt. Located just below the crossguard, the Schilt serves multiple purposes, providing finger protection and redirecting strikes, facilitating thumb-on-blade techniques. The Meyer Rapier incorporates our Modular Sword System™, so it’s fully dismountable. Its big port and straight, wide crossguard with a knuckle bow ensure reliable hand coverage and structural integrity along with the blade’s schilt.
